Residential Trips

Residential Visits

It has been our tradition to take the Year 5/6 class on a Residential Visit each year. The benefits of these visits are numerous and are a highlight of the children’s experience whilst at school. Not only do the children take part in activities we cannot provide at school, but they benefit by learning many skills that help with independence, leadership and organisation.

At present we alternate our visits between PGL Windmill Hill near Herstmonceux and Hindleap Warren on Ashdown Forest. The children undertake numerous activities they would not necessarily get the opportunity to do in school: orienteering, canoeing and team building are just a few of the sessions we enjoy.

The cost varies from year to year but we will ensure that all children get the opportunity to enjoy this very valuable experience. If the cost should be a problem for parents we ask them to come into school and discuss this in the strictest confidence.
