Archbishop of York Scheme

St. Mark's Young Leaders Making a Change in the World!

One of our young leaders contributed to a great cake sale and our friends with the Archbishop of York Scheme were proud to hear about it.

'Thank you so much for sending this picture through, it’s great to hear how you are getting on with your Young Leaders Award. The picture made me rather hungry as the cakes look delicious!

It’s fantastic to hear Maya helped raise £300 for Macmillan nurses – do pass on our congratulations to her for all of her hard work. Are we able to share this picture on social media? If so, can we tag your school, or the class, into anything we post?

I hope the pupils are enjoying the activities and the teachers are finding the award worthwhile.

Keep us posted as we’d love to hear more about how you are getting on.'

Cake Sale for Macmillan as part of the Young Leaders' Scheme

The first Archbishop of York Young Leaders Session: we explored leadership and teamwork in the plastic cup challenge, came up with a list of characteristics of what makes a good leader, looked at the Parable of the Good Samaritan and have decided to act in a way that changes the world and shows us to be everyone's neighbour.
