Learning Support Assistant

 

We are currently looking to recruit someone to join our strong team.   The post will involve working alongside the class teacher and work with the SENCO and other school staff to help meet the learning needs of two pupils with an EHCP in Reception and Key Stage 1; this may be in a 1:1 or small group setting.  The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm term time only which incorporates 5 hours daily as a Teaching Assistant pay scale Grade 3 points range 3-4 (£20,812 - £21,189 pro rata).

The successful applicant must be available every day, be calm, patient and reliable. An ability to use initiative, be creative and motivate children is also desirable.

The successful candidate will:

Be literate and numerate

Be calm, patient and reflective
Be able to communicate effectively with parents and other professionals
Demonstrate the ability to work as a part of a team but also be able to think for themselves

Be keen to learn, adaptable and have a flexible approach
Be able to use their initiative

Caretaker

Hours: 10 hours a week.

Salary:  West Sussex Grade 3.  £20,812-£21,189 pro rata depending on experience.

 

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, caring, well motivated, and suitably qualified persons for the post of Caretaker for 10 hours per week.  This post would be for two hours a day which can be flexible as to when but some tasks will need to be carried out when there are no children on site (such as fire alarm testing).

 

The successful applicant will possess a range of building management, maintenance, D.I.Y., caretaking and gardening skills, together with the ability to supervise and work alongside cleaning staff.  As Caretaker you will ensure that the school environment is maintained to a satisfactory standard and your aim will be to deliver a quality service in a school where high standards are set and expected.  Personal qualities will include: versatility, tact, commitment, honesty and initiative. A driver’s licence and use of a car would be highly desirable.
