Learning Support Assistant

 

We are currently looking to recruit someone to join our strong team.   The post will involve working alongside the class teacher and work with the SENCO and other school staff to help meet the learning needs of a specific group of pupils with an EHCP; this may be in a 1:1 or small group setting.  The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm term time only which incorporates 5 hours daily as a Teaching Assistant pay scale Grade scale Grade 3 points range 11-13.

The successful applicant must be available every day, be calm, patient and reliable. An ability to use initiative, be creative and motivate children is also desirable.

The successful candidate will:
Be willing to undertake professional development and training
Be literate and numerate

Be calm, patient and reflective
Be able to communicate effectively with parents and other professionals
Demonstrate the ability to work as a part of a team but also be able to think for themselves

Be keen to learn, adaptable and have a flexible approach
Be able to use their initiative
